As Spring fast approaches, I know we all need relief from this very difficult Winter. Well, I can tell you that the robins are back and I saw geese flying north the other day so I see light at the end of the tunnel. Now, with Spring right around the corner, so is the busy season for roll off companies. So if you are planning any type of project that requires a roll off dumpster, plan ahead to ensure an easy rental! Here are a few tips regarding rentals during the Spring.
First, even though every season is different, it has been the case that our most popular size is our 20 Yd roll off dumpster. In fact, it has been the most rented size for the past 5 years straight. Now what this means to your Spring project is that if you need a 20 Yd roll off, you may want to consider ordering ahead! The second most popular size is our 12 Yd roll off.
These dumpsters are homeowner favorites and they see their busiest season from mid-March through mid-June. In fact, in the Spring we often have a waiting list for 12 Yd roll offs. My suggestion to you is to plan your project ahead. Research which roll off company you want to use and find out specifically what their delivery policies are.
Here at D&D we tell our customers to give us 4 business days’ notice and we will make it happen. If you can, order your dumpster well in advance. Plan the delivery for the day BEFORE you plan on using it. Trucks do break down and you don’t want to be waiting all day for a dumpster you expected in the morning.
Finally, on the day before your dumpster is scheduled to be delivered, call your dumpster company and confirm you are still on for your scheduled delivery. Load your roll off dumpster quickly. With the busy season, most roll off companies tighten their rental time limits to meet the demands of the season and may not be able to extend your rental for you. The company’s policy regarding extended use should be explored fully before renting a dumpster.
With these simple tips, you can make your rental an easy and productive experience.
Be safe, be well and most of all BE HAPPY!
